The San Antonio Spurs will be racking up more than wins and losses during the 2026-27 season. They’ll also be racking up some serious frequent-flier miles
Victor Wembanyama and company are projected to travel 54,123.5 miles this season, the second-most of any NBA team, according to an analysis by Bookies.com

Only the New Orleans Pelicans are expected to travel more miles, topping the league at 55,581.9 miles
A major reason both teams sit atop the NBA’s travel leaderboard is their upcoming trip across the Atlantic Ocean. The Spurs and Pelicans are scheduled to play in Paris on Jan. 14 before meeting again three days later in Manchester, England, as part of the NBA’s continued international push
That European swing alone will send the Spurs about 10,417 miles with the team crossing 14 time zones during the journey

Bookies.com noted that San Antonio’s travel total is also boosted by two relocated games in Austin. Without the international games and Austin dates, the Spurs and Pelicans would fall closer to the middle of the NBA’s travel rankings
The Miami Heat rank third at 49,540.2 miles and are expected to travel the most of any NBA team that doesn’t leave North America. The Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings round out the top five
On the opposite end, the Toronto Raptors are projected to travel the fewest miles at 35,133.9, followed by the New York Knicks at 35,181.6 miles
Bookies.com calculated the distances using the NBA’s 2026-27 schedule and Vincenty’s formula to estimate air miles between venues. The projections do not include Emirates NBA Cup knockout-round games because those matchups have yet to be determined

Altogether, NBA teams are projected to travel nearly 1.3 million miles and cross a combined 1,096 time zones during the 2026-27 season
The league’s 81st season is scheduled to tip off Oct. 20
