“Practical Magic 2” star Sandra Bullockhas been busy traveling around the globe promoting her upcoming movie—but she still found time to enjoy some well-deserved relaxation at her Wyoming retreat with her two kids and some A-list friends
Bullock, 62, offered her fans a rare glimpse inside her life away from the cameras in a new Instagram post, in which she shared several photos from her summer, including a host of images of herself and her family enjoying a getaway in Jackson, WY
Wyoming has long been a place of great significance to the actress, whose parents, Helga Bullock and John Bullock, are buried at a cemetery near her home. Bullock also scattered the ashes of her late partner, Bryan Randall, in the Snake River in Jackson Hole a few months after he died from ALS in August 2023
The “Speed” star took time to visit the graves of her parents—and included a picture of their headstones in her Instagram carousel, which also featured photos of the beautiful scenery around her Wyoming property, as well as a snap of her kids rafting down what appears to be the Snake River
In one image that featured four children strolling with their backs to the camera, Bullock tagged her sister, Gesine, suggesting that the two siblings enjoyed the trip together with their kids
Bulllock has always ensured to maintain the privacy of her son, Louis, 16, and her daughter, Laila, 12, whom she adopted in 2010 and 2015, respectively. The same year that she welcomed Laila into her home, the actress began her relationship with Randall, who reportedly served as a surrogate father to the children until his death
Though the actress has shared few details about her home in Wyoming, her sister shared some emotional insight into Bullock and Randall’s love of the state in a December 2023 Instagram post, when she revealed that the late photographer’s ashes had been released in the river on what would have been his 58th birthday

“Happy birthday, Bry,” she wrote, while sharing a video of the river. “Sandy brought you to the river, just as she promised.”
Beyond the more poignant parts of the trip, Bullock also found time to sneak in some fun with her close friend, actor Jason Bateman, and his wife, Amanda Anka, who were both seen posing alongside the actress in a photo taken during her Wyoming trip
Another image revealed that Bullock took time to record an interview for the “Smartless” podcast, which Bateman hosts alongside fellow Hollywood stars Sean Hayes and Will Arnett, although it’s unclea whether either of his co-hosts made the journey to Wyoming with him
But it wasn’t just her Jackson spread that featured in the photos. The first picture share in the carousel showed Bullock herself at the doorway of her longtime Beverly Hills home, which she purchased for $16.2 million in 2011, soon after she split from ex-husband Jesse James
The seven-bedroom Tudor-style property sits on just over 4 acres of land in the exclusive Benedict Canyon neighborhood and appears to have undergone multiple renovations since the actress purchased it 15 years ago
One of the most dramatic is the beautiful ivy that now covers the front of the once-bare abode, giving it a truly magical feel—and lending it the kind of rustic charm that helped to make the house from Bullock’s hit movie “Practical Magic” so famous
While Bullock’s photo only captured the arched front door, stone façade, and entryway of her property, there was plenty on show, including two ornate stone carvings that border the entrance: one of a hand holding a key and the other of what appears to be an elf lying on his stomach
The actress could be seen posing alongside her dog in the snap, standing on beautiful hardwood floors, with another arched doorway in the background, presumably leading out to the backyard

The Beverly Hills manse and the Wyoming retreat are just two of several homes in Bullock’s very impressive property portfolio, which she has steadily expanded during her many years working in the film industry
It’s understood that she primarily splits her time between her California dwelling and a stunning Texas estate near Austin, which she has owned for nearly 30 years
Her Austin-area abode became the subject of a bitter lawsuit in 2004, when Bullock sued the builder she had hired to construct her “dream” home on her lakefront parcel—alleging that the property had water damage, wiring problems, holes in the masonry, and a bad roof
Work on the home began in 1998 and was still not completed by the time the lawsuit was filed, Bullock stated in legal documents. She was later awarded $7 million by a judge and is understood to have demolished the unfinished property in order to make way for a new dwelling on the land
Bullock’s estate, which is perched on the shore of the Colorado River, spreads across nearly 6 acres of land and his home to multiple structures, as well as a stunning pool area, and beautifully-landscaped gardens
When she’s not busy shuttling between Beverly Hills, Texas, and Wyoming, Bullock finds time to enjoy trips to her historic home in New Orleans, a property she has owned since 2009, when she purchased it for $2.3 million
Known as the Koch-Mays House, the Gothic Victorian dwelling was originally built in the 1800s and spans more than 6,600 square feet
Though she bought the home before she became a mother, both of her children have strong ties to the area: Louis was adopted from New Orleans, while Laila was born in Louisiana
