Liberty Bank, is embracing the future of artificial intelligence with a new position to serve as the head of implementing AI initiatives and strategies across the organization, the company said
Marc Sylvain has been appointed Chief AI Officer and will serve as the head of Liberty Bank’s enterprise AI strategy and serve as the executive leader of the bank’s new internal function – the AI Center of Excellence
Liberty’s AI Center of Excellence, first publicly introduced in June, will serve as a cross-functional leadership team responsible for
identifying, prioritizing, governing and implementing AI initiatives throughout the organization. The bank said that the new team will ensure that all AI initiatives align with business objectives, regulatory expectations and risk standards
Sylvain, who is a Boston native, earned his MBA from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University and his bachelor’s degree from McGill University. Sylvain has worked for Liberty since 2024 as the bank’s Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning & Innovation, the company said
“AI is here, and we are embracing it,” said Liberty Bank President and CEO David Glidden in a press release. “With the help of AI, we are finding new ways to serve our customers, support our teammates and drive growth. We are building the community bank of the future, and the future starts now.”
Liberty Bank, headquartered in Middletown, has over 50 locations across Connecticut and western Massachusetts, according to the company
