White Castle has picked another North Texas city for its third location in the state
“We couldn’t keep the excitement to ourselves…a THIRD Texas Castle is on the way,” the company said in an Instagram post. “We can’t wait to fire up the griddles in Grand Prairie.”
A company spokesperson said the Grand Prairie restaurant will be in EpicCentral along State Highway 161 and will open in summer 2027

White Castle is known for its classic square sliders, or small burgers, that can be made with beef, fried fish, chicken and more. A popular order is the cheeseburger with steam-grilled onions
Founded in 1921, White Castle now has over 300 restaurants, primarily in the Midwest
Last year, the Ohio-based hamburger chain announced its expansion into Texas will start with The Colony. It later announced a second location in Fort Worth.
Construction on The Colony restaurant began in June, and it’s expected to open this fall. Construction on the Fort Worth location will start early next year, with an anticipated opening of mid-2027

“As a family-owned business that’s been around for generations, we can’t wait to serve up hot and tasty sliders to the citizens of Grand Prairie and the surrounding area,” Jamie Richardson, chief marketing officer for White Castle, said in an email
Additional information on the Grand Prairie restaurant, such as the specific address or construction plans, was not available. The company said more details are forthcoming
It also isn’t clear if White Castle plans to expand further in Dallas-Fort Worth or Texas at large
“We see Texas as a big opportunity in general,” Richardson previously told The Dallas Morning News, “and in this moment, our focus remains on the greater D-FW area.”
