Despite all of the trade buzz surrounding Byron Buxton and Joe Ryan, the Twins might not be selling. However, if the Twins fall apart in July, leading up to the deadline, Ryan could be on the move. So, what could the Twins get?

Well the Twins could get an “absolute haul” if they trade Ryan this summer by the August 3 trade deadline

While the Twins might not be likely sellers, there is a scenario in which Minnesota trades Ryan this summer for a massive haul that’s hard to refuse

If a team like the Atlanta Braves or Chicago Cubs gets desperate, those clubs might offer a package that even a contending Twins team should consider

Ryan is 30 years old and will be a free agent after the 2027 season. With a potential lockout looming next year, trading Ryan now might not be such a bad idea

Adding a pitcher like Ryan would be at the top of a lot of teams’ wish-lists around baseball

While the Twins don’t have to trade him now, if they do decide to part with Ryan, they should be getting back a fantastic trade package based on this update
