Bridget Fonda made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles while out to lunch this week
In photos obtained by Page Six, the retired actress was seen leaving a restaurant with her assistant on Wednesday. She wore a striped tank top, black pants and a black crossbody bag. Her hair was pinned back in an updo
Fonda, 62, has largely avoided public view since retiring from acting. Her last public appearance came in May 2025, when photographers captured her and husband Danny Elfman returning to Los Angeles. The images marked the first time the couple had been pictured together in 16 years
The daughter of Peter Fonda and niece of Jane Fonda, she built a successful acting career with roles in films including “Single White Female,” “Jackie Brown” and “Godfather Part III.”
Fonda’s last acting role was in 2002 in the television film “The Snow Queen.” The following year, she was in a serious car crash that caused a spinal injury. She also married Elfman that year. She left the industry around this time to instead focus on starting a family. Fonda and Elfman welcomed their son Oliver in 2005
Fonda addressed her retirement in 2023, telling paparazzi in the video a obtained by the Daily Mail that she didn’t think she’d ever return to screen. “I don’t think [there’s any chance]. It’s too nice being a civilian,” Fonda said
