The bootcamp was founded by Coach Jey, an Afghanistan veteran and former Dallas firefighter. Over the past year, the group has grown to more than 8,000 participants
Coach Jey said the goal is not only to help people become stronger athletes, but also to create a family that motivates and supports one another
The group’s mantra, “Surviving Deathrow,” serves as a reminder that if participants can make it through the workout, they can overcome whatever life throws their way
The next Deathrow Bootcamp is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Dallas
