Known for its sharp commentary and industry gossip, the Instagram account has been traced to a London-based photographer and stylist who has contributed to Vogue
The Instagram page @boringnotcom has entertained fashion enthusiasts over the past two years with snarky criticisms of high fashion. The account, with around 61,000 followers, predicted Jonathan Anderson’s departure from Loewe in November 2024, several months before the official announcement in March 2025.
Instantly recognisable by its yawning emoji icon and striking neon green grids, Boring Not Com emerged in 2024 as a satirical take on content creator Beka Gvishiani’s popular fashion media account, Style Not Com, which boasts over 550,000 followers on Instagram

But unlike Gvishiani, who built his audience by bringing high-fashion news to the internet, Boring Not Com has gained traction for sharing unfiltered critiques of fashion shows, designers and the industry at large while remaining completely anonymous – until now
Journalist Lauren Sherman revealed photographer Rasharn Agyemang to be the mastermind behind the popular Instagram page in a recent article for Puck
“In recent months, as the posts have grown increasingly negative in tone, I’ve been asked by many readers and industry insiders to figure out who is truly behind the vitriol. It’s unclear whether Boring Not Com is the work of a single proprietor or a small team, but I quickly traced the account to Rasharn Agyemang,” Sherman wrote
