Now, Jackson is coming up on a hugely important year for both the Ravens and himself as a quarterback
Bleacher Report has released its list of the best quarterbacks in the NFL going into the 2026 season. “To tackle all this, our team of scouts conducted an exhaustive film review and graded every non-rookie on a 100-point scale built from position-specific traits,” they state in the piece
Lamar Jackson wasn’t able to ‘replicate the MVP-caliber season’ in 2025
They put Jackson at No. 7 on the list. It’s respectable, but it also comes with a warning. The Ravens depend on Jackson, and he’s really the heartbeat of this offense. But, he’ll need to get back to that MVP-caliber performance

In the piece, they note that Jackson’s “injuries limited his mobility and magician-like escapability. He was unable to replicate the MVP-caliber season he had in 2024.”
They add that during the 2025 season, “Jackson continued to help power the Ravens’ offense forward. He handled the blitz, throwing 12 touchdowns to three interceptions. Jackson played more from the pocket and attacked the vertical plane well.”
In the end, the Ravens still need Jackson even more than he needs them. But, he can’t do it himself. Baltimore has to hope that this offense, and defense, helps their star player more in 2026
