Havaianas is joining the kitten heel movement with a new heel design unveiled during Copenhagen Fashion Week. The Kitten Heel made its debut on the Studio Constance spring 2027 runway, introducing a new variation of the brand’s signature rubber sandal to the fashion world
The new design reinterprets Havaianas’ signature toe-post construction with a distinctive toe cap that conceals only the big toe. The sandals sit on a low, asymmetric, elliptical heel measuring around two inches. The silhouette also features Havaianas’ signature rubber insole and comes in black, off-white and vibrant green
“The Kitten Heel represents a new design perspective for Havaianas, while remaining true to the ease, authenticity, and Brazilian spirit that have always defined the brand,” Maria Fernanda Albuquerque, global vice president of marketing at Havaianas, said in a statement

The Studio Constance show featured Havaianas sandals across the 25 looks, combining the new silhouette with selected classic flip-flop styles. The Kitten Heel also appeared beyond the runway, with Emili Sindlev and Lihe week
Nunes was spotted riding a Havaianas bicycle customized with the Kitten Heel in place of traditional pedals, connecting the shoe design to the city’s cycling culture. Albuquerque said the fashion community’s embrace of the brand made Copenhagen an obvious place to reveal the design
“Havaianas has built a very natural relationship with Copenhagen Fashion Week over the past seasons,” Albuquerque added. “We have seen the brand embraced organically by the fashion community, and this felt like the right moment to take that relationship further.”
Havaianas also hosted an event held on the Green Island in Copenhagen Harbor to introduce its latest offering. Inspired by the concept “From Sea Level to New Heights,” the evening featured Brazilian music, food and a floating customization activation with Brazilian jewelry designer Alan Crocetti
The release arrives as kitten-heeled sandals are having a major moment. Flip-flops experienced a resurgence as a going-out shoe in 2025, and the heeled thong sandal became the go-to shoe of summer 2026, with FN editors choosing the style as the shoe of the season. The brand has not announced when the Havaianas Kitten Heel will be available for purchase
