Virginia Madsen is sending love to her “Highlander II” co-star, Christopher Lambert, who was rushed to the hospital earlier this month during a fan convention
“Thank you Chris, for a wonderful reunion. Flying all the way from Paris to go right to Steel City Con to greet your fans. So glad you’re feelin alright- even Immortals need a good rest once in awhile,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday, Aug. 11. She included a selfie of them smiling together
On Saturday, Aug. 8, Lambert was signing autographs at Steel City Con in Pittsburgh, Penn. when he suddenly collapsed, according to witness reports per TMZ. Emergency personnel then transported him from the venue by ambulance
A rep for Lambert told the outlet later that day the actor was “perfectly ok” and was resting in his hotel room following the incident. The rep added that Lambert’s collapse resulted from a drop in blood sugar, explaining that the actor had not slept the night before and had eaten very little throughout the day
As Madsen referenced in her post, he was seemingly coming from France to the convention in Pennsylvania
No updates on Lambert’s condition have been given
Lambert rose to fame portraying Connor MacLeod in the 1986 fantasy action film “Highlander” and its sequels. The French-American actor also starred as Tarzan in 1984’s “Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan,” “Lord of the Apes” and played Lord Rayden in 1995’s “Mortal Kombat.”
