Mo. (KCTV) – The fifth annual Soul Yoga Fest took over Uzazi Village in Midtown Kansas City, centering on accessible wellness for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds
The event offered more than 10 free classes, including beginner-friendly yoga, tai chi, sound baths, dance classes, and holistic workshops
Dr. Auburn Ellis, founder of Soul Yoga Fest KC, said the event is designed to bring wellness to the inner city
“We encourage movement for people of all ages, all abilities and all ancestries,” Ellis said
Ellis said affordability is central to the festival’s mission
“Wellness can’t be a luxury, wellness has to be available to everyone because we want to live long thriving lives,” Ellis said
