White Castle, the fast-food company known for its square-shaped sliders, is planning its second Texas restaurant in Fort Worth
The news comes just a few weeks after White Castle broke ground on its first Texas restaurant, in The Colony. The company has a 105-year legacy of selling cheeseburgers — such a long history that some mistakenly believed White Castle had already come to Texas
But in fact, the fall 2026 opening of the restaurant in Grandscape in The Colony marks Texas’ first White Castle. Construction begins in Fort Worth in early 2027

It isn’t clear how many White Castles the Ohio-based company will open in North Texas. Texans in other parts of the state will need to be patient, however
“We see Texas as a big opportunity in general,” said Chief Marketing Officer Jamie Richardson, “and in this moment, our focus remains on the greater D-FW area.”
The Fort Worth restaurant is a $2.1 million new build, according to state records. It will open at the Shops at Chisholm Trail Ranch, which is southwest of downtown Fort Worth, near Benbrook and Crowley
Neighboring businesses include Crumbl Cookies, Raising Cane’s, Dutch Bros. Coffee and Chick-fil-A.

White Castle will hire 60 people to work in the restaurant. It’s expected to open in Fort Worth in mid-2027
