Paving/Roadway Projects
Carmel Road Fog SealingEstimated Construction Dates: July 14
Carmel Rd, including its intersection with Walnut Ave, will be closed to traffic for about 1-2 hours during construction. A detour will be in place, and motorists will be directed around the closure
Stevens Street Fog SealingEstimated Construction Dates: July 14
Stevens St will be closed to traffic for about 1-2 hours during construction. A detour will be in place, and motorists will be directed around the closure
Walnut Avenue Fog SealingEstimated Construction Dates: July 15
Walnut Ave will be closed to traffic for about 1-2 hours during construction. A detour will be in place, and motorists will be directed around the closure
William Street Fog SealingEstimated Construction Dates: July 16
William St, including its intersection with Poor St, will be closed to traffic for about 1-2 hours during construction. A detour will be in place, and motorists will be directed around the closure
Poor Street Fog SealingEstimated Construction Dates: July 17
Poor St will be closed to traffic for about 1-2 hours during construction. A detour will be in place, and motorists will be directed around the closure

Water Main Projects
Lowell St (Argilla Road to Lincoln Street) Watermain Construction
Estimated Construction Dates: June 8 through Fall 2026
Traffic may be reduced to alternating one-way travel in the work zone. Police details and flaggers will be present. Expect delays
State Projects
Burnham Road Bridge (MBTA)Estimated Construction Dates: March 30, 2026 – October 2026The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is conducting a bridge preservation project requiring closure of Burnham Road in both directions at the railroad bridge. I-495 Bridge Replacement Projects (MassDOT)Estimated Construction Dates: OngoingBridge replacement work along Interstate 495 may result in lane restrictions, shifting traffic patterns, and periodic delays.
Beginning Tuesday, June 16 at 10:00 PM, the project will transition into its second major phase of construction, which will required northbound traffic on I-495 (toward Haverhill) to be shifted into the median between Corbett Street in Andover and Route 114 in Lawrence. Drivers should observe reduced 55 MPH speed limits through the work zone
