After months of uncertainty, second-round linebacker Gabe Jacas finally signed his rookie contract. Also before Saturday’s session, Pats owner Robert Kraft revealed that the team offered cornerback Christian Gonzalez a contract that would make him the highest-paid player at his position and the highest-paid Patriot of all time
Gonzalez was a full participant in Saturday’s practice, a positive development after he minimally participated in mandatory minicamp. As for Drake Maye and new No. 1 wide receiver A.J. Brown, the two nearly connected on a highlight-reel play to open practice, but Brown couldn’t complete the one-handed grab. Legendary wideout DeAndre Hopkins was in attendance to work with Brown and the receiver group
