TPC Wellness leaders attend state’s annual Human Trafficking Summit

COLUMBUS — Leaders from TPC Wellness traveled to Columbus on July 30 to participate in Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson’s annual Human Trafficking Summit, joining advocates, health-care professionals, law enforcement, prosecutors, survivors and community partners from across Ohio committed to combating human trafficking.
TPC Wellness CEO Elizabeth C r e m e a n s – Thompson and community outreach director Sara Howard, attended the summit, which brought together professionals from across Ohio and beyond to learn, share experiences and strengthen connections within the state’s anti-trafficking movement. The 2026 summit featured panel discussions and workshop’s focused on innovative strategies and continued progress in addressing human trafficking.
The company said, for Cremeans-Thompson and Howard, the summit represented an important opportunity to expand TPC Wellness’ knowledge and strengthen its ability to serve individuals and families who may be impacted by trafficking.
Among the areas highlighted during the summit were adopting human trafficking screening tools, engaging survivors at the local and state level, and understanding family dynamics and family involvement in sex trafficking specialty courts and interventions. These discussions reinforced the importance of identifying trafficking early, responding through a trauma-responsive lens and building coordinated systems of support around victims and survivors.
Cremeans-Thompson emphasized the TPC Welness’s continued commitment to learning and partnership in the fight against human trafficking.
“TPC Wellness remains committed and passionate to work with federal, state and local anti-trafficking projects,” she said. “We continue to invest in learning everything needed to support the state’s efforts for our team to be a strong rening a blind eye to the despicable problems human trafficking creates.”

Howard emphasized the importance of creating safe pathways for individuals who may be experiencing exploitation.
“TPC Wellness is committed to providing safe support to victims, understanding prevention reon,” Howard said.
Howard noted that collaboration is essential because no single organization can address human trafficking alone. Behavioral health providers, law enforcement, prosecutors, schools, health-care organizations, courts, social-service agencies, community organizations and survivor advocates all have important roles in creating a stronger safety net.
