Colorado has four of the nation’s 10 best hot springs and a leading day spa and spa resort, according to the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers Choice Awards
The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs was named the No. 2 spa resort and the No. 9 hot springs in the country
But it was not <a href="https://todaytrendnews7.com/even-republicans-now-want-to-save-hollywood/” title=”Even Republicans Now Want to Save Hollywood”>even the highest-rated hot springs in Colorado, with No. 3: Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa in Durango, No. 4: Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs and No. 5: Glenwood Hot Springs Resort in Glenwood Springs outpacing it
Sway in Denver was also named the No. 4 day spa in the country, adding to the state’s honors
The showing is a slight dip from 2025, when six destinations earned eight honors across five categories, but is still a strong performance that honored some new wellness spots
What did USA TODAY 10BEST readers love about The Springs Resort?
The Springs slipped slightly in the rankings from 2025, when it was named both the top hot springs and spa resort in the nation by USA TODAY 10BEST readers. But it still ranked in both categories. The resort’s 24-hour access to around 50 mineral pools that draw from the Mother Spring, the world’s deepest geothermal hot spring, stands out. Visitors can also try a cold plunge in the San Juan River, aqua yoga and balancing sound immersion
What did USA TODAY 10BEST readers love about Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa?
New to the rankings in 2026, Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa has more than 40 water amenities, including 32 mineral soaking pools. It also boasts cold plunges, Japanese-inspired cedar soaking tubs and a resort-style swimming pool.
What did USA TODAY 10BEST readers love about Iron Mountain Hot Springs?
Up one spot from 2025, Iron Mountain Hot Springs was recognized for its 35 soaking pools of varying temperatures. That includes an adults-only area with pools inspired by different geothermal waters in Japan, Iceland, Turkey and other popular hot springs destinations. There is also a larger, slightly cooler freshwater pool for families
What did USA TODAY 10BEST readers love about Glenwood Hot Springs Resort?
Up five spots from No. 10 in 2025, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort leans into being family friendly. It boasts the world’s largest outdoor mineral hot springs pool, which has a diving board and lanes for fitness swimming. The site also has waterslides; a splash pad; and a zero-depth, shaded pool. It also has more traditional features such as a hot therapy pool with jet chairs and water sprays, as well as five soaking pools at the Yampah Mineral Baths
What did USA TODAY 10BEST readers love about Sway?
Sway, which repeated as the nation’s No. 4 day spa from 2025, continues to stand out for its use of wellness technology and trends. It offers saunas, cold plunge and LED therapy, along with Aescape, an AI-powered robotic massage system that personalizes treatments using what it says are more than 1 million data points
