COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) —Black Men’s Wellness Day has come back around for 2026, encouraging all men to get checked out before they get checked in
The African American Male Wellness Agency is expecting thousands of people to join them for their annual free Wellness Walk
The events are taking place in Columbus’ King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood from 7 a.m. to noon at Long Street and Jefferson Avenue
The AAMWA offers free health screenings, wellness re, kids zone, a 5K walk and run and music performances
The wellness day celebration brings residents, health professionals, community leaders, corporations, nonprofits and government partners and more together encouraging Black men to prioritize preventive health and take control of their well-being
“Today is about action. We’re getting Black men checked, connected and committed to living healthier lives,” President of the African American Male Wellness Agency, Kenny R. Hampton said
“When our community comes together like this, lives can change.”
AAMWA continues to address health disparities and encourage Black men and women to take proactive steps in their health journey
