FORT MYERS, Fla. —
Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department are at the scene of an active incident on Maravilla Avenue
Officers say that they are working a scene involving a barricaded subject, with shots fired

FMPD says that a southbound roadblock is in place on US-41 from Maravilla Avenue to Halgrim Avenue. Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route while officers work the scene
Gulf Coast News reporters on the scene report seeing over a dozen police vehicles, as well as undercover vehicles and a drone in the air. Reporters say that a SWAT vehicle is now on scene
