What happened:Semiconductor stocks trimmed losses on Monday, with the PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOXX) recovering from a more than 2% drop as the sector shrugged off fears of increased competition from China and the overall market surged
US-listed shares of memory and storage leaders Micron Technology (MU) and SK Hynix (SKHY) tumbled less than 1% and 2%, respectively
AI chip heavyweight Nvidia (NVDA) gained 3% after dropping as much as 1%. Shares of AMD (AMD) also reversed an early morning loss to gain more than 1% ahead of the company’s earnings this week. Chipmaker Intel (INTC), along with Marvell (MRVL) and Qualcomm (QCOM), also edged higher
