Ever since drafting him with the final pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, Lamar Jackson for the Baltimore Ravens has been one of the best players in the NFL

He’s a two-time MVP, and while the playoff success hasn’t exactly been there, Jackson has done more than enough to warrant some very lofty praise
In fact, ESPN’s Bill Barnwell is already calling Jackson a lock to make the Hall of Fame, noting how he, alongside Derek Henry, should be “in” the Hall of Fame based on their statistics right now
Lamar Jackson already called a Hall of Famer by ESPN analyst
“In: RB Derek Henry, QB Lamar Jackson,” Barnwell writes. “As a two-time MVP, Jackson should have no trouble waltzing into the Hall of Fame as one of the league’s most decorated players.”

While Jackson has played just eight seasons, only seven of which were as a full-time starter, Jackson is already predicted to make the Hall of Fame
He’s 29 years old and has been one of the best QBs in the NFL the last seven seasons, since he became the Ravens’ starting quarterback
Four Pro Bowlers, three first-team All-Pros, two MVP awards, an Offensive Player of the Year Award, and the current all-time passer rating leading in NFL history with a 102.2, better than any QB ever in league history

While he’s not played nearly as much as some of the other top quarterbacks in league history, Jackson’s production in his career up to this point is more than good enough to justify a Hall of Fame bid
He has a 76-31 record with a 64.8 completion percentage, 22,608 passing yards, 187 passing touchdowns, 56 interceptions, and a career rushing line of 6,522 yards and 35 touchdowns on 1,081 attempts
If there is one issue, it’s his 3-5 playoff record and no Super Bowl appearance. But, he’s been more than good enough in the regular season to warrant already being mentioned as a Hall of Famer, even just eight seasons into his NFL career
So, while it might be bold for Barnwell to claim Jackson is a Hall of Famer already, looking at his peak, being one of the best QBs in league history as a passer and rusher at the same time, it’s hard to argue with Jackson being a future Hall of Famer.
