New rides, food and attractions arrive at 2026 NC Mountain State Fair

FLETCHER, N.C. (WLOS) —Step right up to new rides, entertainment and food at the 2026 North Carolina Mountain State Fair
The fair is from Sept. 11 to Sept. 20 at the WNC Agriculture Center in Fletcher
N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services said the following four rides are being added:
- The Dairy – A spinning ride with flying cow cars.
- Horror Hotel – A walk-through spooky house.
- The Aeromax – which lifts riders in brightly colored airplanes 40 feet for a high-altitude spin.
- Crazy Cars – geared for kids.
Also debuting this year is an interactive kid cooking show, where kids can prepare a dish, and an immersive butterfly experience where fairgoers can walk through an enclosure and feed butterflies

2025: FRIED AND TRUE: FAIR FOODS TO SAVOR AT THE NC MOUNTAIN STATE FAIR
NCDA&CS said the following vendors are joining fan-favorite food options:
- Veterans of America Roastery with specialty roasted coffees.
- Southern Cravings offering nachos, pretzels and more.
- Sweet Temptations by CoCo serving up bakery treats.
- Larger Than Lemons specialty fresh-squeezed lemonades.
- Kershaw’s Kreamery ice cream.
