Las Torres Patagonia, a family-owned natural and cultural Reserve in Chile’s Torres del Paine National Park, is gearing up to reopen for the season on 1st October 2026 with brand new ways to experience this world-renowned wilderness and adventure destination. Alongside the debut of the W Journey Circuit – a five-day hosted trek – guests will also be among the first to experience Hotel las Torres’ striking new restaurant Galpón, marking the next chapter in the evolution of this historically significant property.
The W Circuit is one of the world’s most sought-after multi-day hikes and Las Torres Patagonia is uniquely located to offer doorstep access to the trail. The new W Journey Circuit offers a fresh take on the iconic route covering all the main highlights – including Base Torres, the French Valley, Británico Viewpoint and the first Grey Glacier viewpoint – while providing the first guided option available. A dedicated host accompanies small groups of up to 12 travellers throughout the five-day tour and, rather than acting as a traditional guide, focuses on creating shared experiences through a series of specially designed rituals inspired by Patagonian culture. Guests begin with an Explorer Ritual, celebrate milestones reached along the trail and conclude each day with an After Trek gathering.
“The Journey program isn’t just a W Circuit with extra amenities. It is an experience led by a host who, more than just taking the group from A to B, spends time with them throughout the entire trip. It’s a mix of nature, wellness, and deep connection with the environment as you make your way along the trail,” explains Juan López, Sales and Marketing Director at Las Torres Patagonia. “We’re aiming to bring back to the W a sense of place that’s often lost when you rush through it: a connection to the land, the culture, and within the group.”
November will see the unveiling of Galpón restaurant, a dramatic dining space within Hotel Las Torres that’s been designed by architect Pedro Kovacic as a reimagining of the traditional Patagonian galpón, or barn. Celebrating Las Torres Patagonia’s unique heritage as the only property within the Torres del Paine National Park with a working estancia, the space spans 2,000sqm and features soaring nine-metre ceilings, exposed timber beams, expansive floor to ceiling glazing framing mountain views and an open kitchen centred around a glass-enclosed lamb roasting pit. Signature design elements include a prominent wine cellar and a relaxing fireplace area complete with a life-size bronze horse and cart as a contemporary nod to these ranching traditions.
Las Torres Patagonia has spent more than three decades championing responsible tourism and conservation while welcoming guests to experience genuine Patagonian culture. The opening of the restaurant forms part of a wider transformation taking place across the property – already completed are a full room remodel of the hotel’s 74 rooms, and a lobby and bar refresh. Future projects include plans to renovate the stables, build a tower with a spa on the upper floors, create a second lobby within the hotel and open a new Interpretative Center dedicated to the history of the Kusanovic family, as well as the geology, wildlife and biodiversity that make Torres del Paine one of the world’s most extraordinary natural destinations.
