And in a follow-up post an hour and a half later, he wrote that he “absolutely had no idea” about Hilton’s past but recalled hearing that the blogger hadn’t been nice to him. “So, my thought is always to give grace and forgiveness to those who may have tried to ‘harm’ you,” he added, in part. “I’m sorry if my words caused any harm. And, I hope you ALL are well out there, and taking care of yourselves.”

“Hey @PerezHilton,” the Supernatural alum wrote on X on Saturday. “Just wanted to reach out and let you know that you’re in my thoughts. This ‘being human’ is a strange thing. Exhilarating. Exhausting. Fast. Slow. Wonderful… and… at times… awful.”
The Gilmore Girls star added, “I hope you are trying as best as you can to be kind to yourself right now. Please surround yourself with the love and support that all humans deserve. This too shall pass. You got this.”
Padalecki’s post irked some of his followers, considering Hilton’s history of outing celebrities as gay and spreading gossip about female stars
“Are you kidding?” an X user wrote in a reply to the actor’s post. “He is the biggest bully — what he’s done to people (women especially) is disgusting, and you [are] asking him to be kind to himself? Are the people he’s bullied in [your] thoughts? You won’t care — but I’ve supported you and stood up for you for [years]. I’m done.”

But other followers appreciated the Walker star’s message. “Some of these comments make me ill,” said an X user. “I’ve done things I’m not proud of. I was mentally unwell. A person needs empathy and kindness, regardless of what they’ve done in the past. Mental illness sucks. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.”
