Fans in India will not be watching the same version of Spider-Man: Brand New Day that is releasing in other countries. Ahead of its release, the Central Board of Film Certification cleared the film with a UA 13+ certificate
However, the CBFC ordered the removal of an eight-second kissing scene from the film. The board also instructed the makers to remove certain objectionable words from the audio and subtitles in the movie
After these modifications were made, the film received a UA 13+ certificate, making it suitable for viewers above the age of 13 with parental guidance. The final approved runtime of the movie is 2 hours and 24 minutes
