Deals announced on the third day of the Farnborough International Airshowreached $5.2 billion (£3.8 billion) at list prices, according to figures supplied by ADS Group
The Day Three total consisted exclusively of firm orders for 35 Airbus aircraft. ADS estimated that the agreements included $1 billion (£765 million) of value for the UK aerospace industry
The latest orders follow two significantly busier days for manufacturers and suppliers at Farnborough. ADS currently puts the combined value of deals announced across the first three days of the show at $84.4 billion (£62.7 billion)
Of that cumulative total, the organisation estimates that $14.6 billion (£10.8 billion) represents content for the UK
The figures are based on aircraft and engine deals announced publicly during the show and use an exchange rate of £0.743 to $1. List-price valuations do not necessarily represent the amounts ultimately paid by customers, as commercial aircraft agreements typically include confidential discounts
ADS Group is the UK trade association for the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors. Farnborough International Limited, which organises the airshow, is wholly owned by ADS
