Christmas has come to early to Chicago
In the blazing heat of July, Hallmark began filming “Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story,” with cast, cameras and film crews spotted at Federal Plaza on Monday afternoon
Chicagoans have been buzzing online about the appearance of the city’s iconic winter holiday Christkindlmarket as they awaited another round of blistering heat. The mystery was solved by eagle-eyed residents who noticed bright yellow filming notices

Earlier this month, the team and the network announced the Christmas-related romance movie that will air leading up to the winter holidays
While Bears Coach Ben Johnson said he will tune in, the team is already booked to host the Packers on Christmas Day on Netflix
Hallmark said the entire movie will be filmed in and around Chicago, “showcasing iconic locations, beloved traditions and the passion that surrounds one of NFL’s most storied franchises.”
It’s the third film in a series created through Hallmark capitalizing on the 2024 popularity stemming from Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce and pop artist Taylor Swift’s relationship. The couple recently tied the knot at Madison Square Garden
The film will likely feature current and former members of the team. The Bills’ movie released last year did so as well, including Damar Hamlin, Dion Dawkins, and then coach Sean McDermott
Much of the cast is to be announced. Lyndsy Fonseca will return for her third Hallmark movie in a row. She has previous credits for “How I Met Your Mother” and “Desperate Housewives.” Robert Buckley, who viewers may know from “iZombie” and “One Tree Hill,” will star alongside her
Two-time Golden Globe winner Marsha Mason, Buckley’s fellow “One Tree Hill” star Barbara Alyn Woods, and Khary Payton — best known as Ezekiel in “The Walking Dead” and the recurring voice of DC’s Cyborg — will also appear
