CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) —Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God, a Moncks Corner native best known as co-host of The Breakfast Club,” will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the recognition Thursday during a public presentation unveiling members of an upcoming Walk of Fame class
Charlamagne Tha God, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, has been a fixture on “The Breakfast Club” since the show launched in 2010

As a Lowcountry native, McKelvey got his start in radio in the Charleston area. He later worked alongside radio host Wendy Williams before joining “The Breakfast Club,” where he helped build the show into one of the country’s most influential radio platforms
