The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly board meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at approximately 10:30 a.m. in Latham Ballroom A/B at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center, 901 Prices Fork Road in Blacksburg
Also on Wednesday, the Presidential Search Committee (which includes the full board) will meet in open and closed session in Latham Ballroom A/B at approximately 1 p.m
The three-day meeting will begin on Monday, Aug. 24, with an orientation session and retreat that will be held in open session for new and returning board members beginning at 10 a.m. at the South End Zone, West Club, Lane Stadium, 185 Beamer Way in Blacksburg. Board members will receive information and discuss issues affecting higher education and the state of the university. Note that all times are approximate; throughout the three days, meetings will begin when the prior meeting ends.
Board committees will meet Tuesday, Aug. 25, in Latham Ballroom A/B at the following times
- The Facilities and Administration Committee begins at 8 a.m. in open session, before departing at 9:15 a.m. for a tour of Oak Lane Facilities.
- The Finance & Resource Management Committee and Facilities and Administration Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m. in a joint open session.
- The Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee and Finance & Resource Management Committee will meet at 11 a.m. in a joint open session.
- The board’s Executive Committee will meet at 1 p.m. in open session.
- The Finance & Resource Management Committee will meet at 1:15 p.m. in closed then open session.
- The Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee will meet at 2:30 p.m. in open then closed session.
- The Athletics Committee will meet at 4:15 p.m. in open session.
The Compliance, Audit, and Risk Committee will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in closed then open session. Earlier that day, the committee chairs will meet in open session with university administrators at 8 a.m. in Forge (formerly known as the Old Guard Room)

Those attending the meeting in person will need to present a Virginia Tech Hokie Passport or government-issued photo ID and all bags will be searched. Please allow extra time to accommodate these measures. Signs, banners, or any other activity that would obstruct the view of others are prohibited. Public comment will not be received during the three-day meeting
