Another seasonal route added at Florida’s RSW. Options continue to grow

- Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is adding several new and returning seasonal routes.
- Airlines including Avelo, Breeze, Allegiant, and Delta are also adding new flights at the Fort Myers airport.
An already lengthy list of additional seasonal routes coming to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) has gotten longer
In the past few weeks and months commercial airlines have been announcing their new routes for fall of 2026 and winter and spring for 2027
This includes Southwest Airlines, which recently said it would be adding additional Florida routes this year, including two new flight at RSW in Fort Myers
Additionally, the airline is bringing back 28 seasonal Florida routes this winter, including six at RSW

Beginning March 13, 2027, Southwest Airlines will launch new seasonal Saturday nonstop service between Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Nebraska and RSW

Previously announced were these two Southwest Airlines flights coming to RSW in January 2027:
- Southwest Florida International Airport, Fort Myers (RSW) and
- Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, New Hampshire (MHT)
- Portland International Jetport, Maine (PWM)
What other flight route news is there for RSW in Fort Myers?
Avelo Airlines, Breeze Airways and Allegiant Air have also added flights at the Fort Myers airport
Delta Air Lines announced at the end of July it is adding a flight at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers. Daily flights between Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, Florida and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RSW) in North Carolina start Nov. 21
Meanwhile, JetBlue Airways is ending a route at Southwest Florida International. The airline is ending daily winter service between Providence, Rhode Island airport and Fort Myers

Other new Southwest Airlines flights connecting to Florida include:

- Donald J. Trump (Palm Beach) International Airport (PBI) and Indianapolis International Airport, Indiana (IND)
Coming in March 2027:
- Orlando International Airport (MCO) and:
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA), New York, 2X daily
- Pensacola International Airport (PNS), daily
- Miami International Airport (MIA) and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), Las Vegas, Nevada

Starting in January 2027, Southwest will also bring back these seasonal routes:

More airlines adding Florida flights
Several familiar names are also increasing their Florida presence, including:
- Allegiant Air has nearly 30 new and returning seasonal flights coming to Florida airports in the second half of 2026.
- American Airlines is adding more flights to Fort Lauderdale, with an additional daily flight to O’Hare International Airport (ORD), starting Sept. 9, and two additional daily flights to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) after Oct. 5.
- Avianca Airlines added an additional daily flight between Fort Lauderdale and El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogotá, Colombia in June.
- Breeze Airlines is adding six more flights connecting Florida airports to Atlantic City, Pittsburgh, Cancun, and St. Thomas.
- Delta Air Lines is adding additional flights between Boston and both Orlando and Miami, starting Dec. 19, and more Orlando flights between Detroit, Atlanta, and New York.
- Frontier Airlines added daily service between Detroit and both Fort Lauderdale and Orlando on July 5, with at least nine more flights to Orlando to cities such as Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Memphis, Nashville and more.
- JetBlue Airways is drastically increasing its service at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, dropping service and airports elsewhere to do so.
