Ala. (TRIBUNE) — The Alabama Home & Garden Show and Plant Sale enters its final day Sunday at the Trussville Civic Center, giving homeowners and gardeners one last chance to tour a model tiny home, browse the event’s first-ever plant sale and meet more than 40 home improvement vendors
The show runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at 5381 Trussville Clay Road. Admission is free on the final day. Senior citizens, education employees in Jefferson and St. Clair counties, and Tribune Facebook followers enjoyed VIP weekend passes. Parking is free
The three-day event, which opened Friday, features dozens of contractors and specialists offering roofing, windows, doors, gutters, bathroom remodeling, landscaping and other services. A full-size model tiny home from 316 Tiny Homes of Vinemont is available for public tours, allowing visitors to walk through a custom-built Alabama-made home
Show guests were treated to food samples from the newest local restaurant, Redemption Trussville, and their partner company Straight Mountain Catering. Just across the exhibition hall, folks were lining up to purchase specially priced dishes from the Peach Cobbler Factory which is located in Trussville and Springville
For the first time, the show includes a plant sale operated by Hilltop Farms of Argo. Organizers added the sale after years of requests from past attendees seeking local plants and garden products
A speaker series features local experts discussing remodeling tips, landscaping, and area history. Abide Roofing is the presenting sponsor
The annual gathering has become a popular stop for central Alabama residents looking to connect with local contractors and explore home and outdoor projects in one location. Most vendor space sold out in advance
Visitors seeking last-minute inspiration or projects before the end of summer can still attend Sunday before the show closes at 4 p.m
