A New York-based upscale fashion and lifestyle brand is preparing to open its doors in one of Houston’s most popular shopping and dining districts
Hill House Home plans to open a 2,146-square-foot storefront in Houston’s Rice Village, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Located at 2414 University Blvd in Suite 136, the store will convert a space formerly occupied by Lily Rain Retail, according to the filing.
“We can confirm that Lily Rain has moved to 2515 University Blvd.,” a spokesperson for Lily Rain told Chron in a Wednesday statement
While details submitted to the TDLR are subject to change, construction could begin in mid-August, lasting through mid-September for an estimated $89,000.
“Hill House Home has signed a lease for a Houston location, and additional details are not available at this time,” Hill House Home spokesperson Susanna Plageman told Chron in a Wednesday statement. The Rice Village storefront will add to Hill House’s list of standalone stores in Texas

“The brand currently has a standalone store in Dallas,” Plageman added
Hill House Home launched as a bedding company in 2016 before expanding into women’s apparel. Founded by London native Nell Diamond, the brand is best known for its Nap Dress—a soft and comfortable “signature garment” designed to transition from day to night, according to the company’s website.

With a dreamy, cottage-inspired aesthetic filled with florals and ruffles, the retailer sells dresses and other apparel, pajamas, robes, children’s and baby items, bridalwear, swimwear, accessories, bedding, wallpaper and more.

Hill House Homes operates from 8687 N. Central Expy. in Dallas’ NorthPark Center and from several other locations across the U.S., including in Massachusetts, New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, Illinois, Connecticut and Georgia.
The company does not operate a standalone store in Houston, though a selection of its apparel is often available through major retail partners such as Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue.
