Islanders unveil lighthouse design as 3rd jersey contest winner
Team held fan vote for alternate sweater next season

The votes are in and the New York Islanders will light the lamp with their third jersey
In a video posted by the team on social media, forward Mathew Barzal announced the navy lighthouse design as the winner of their alternate jersey contest where fans submitted designs and voted on their favorite this summer

The navy blue jersey features a lighthouse as the crest with orange and teal stripes adorning the bottom and sleeves
The lighthouse design beat out a design with “Islanders” spelled out on the crest in the third round of voting which ended on Thursday night
There were over 80,000 submissions in the contest
The Islanders will sport the third jersey during the 2027-28 season
