Olga’s launches seasonings: Michigan brand Olga’s Kitchen has launched a line of seasonings for retail shelves. Find Olga’s Snacker Seasoning, Olga’s Shawarma Blend and Olga’s Mediterranean Blend on shelves at select Meijer locations.
Hungry Howie’s launches Tajín crust: Michigan’s Hungry Howie’s pizza brand has partnered with Tajín seasoning for their newest flavored pizza crust. Order a pizza with the blend of mild chili peppers, lime and sea salt on the crust now through the end of 2026. Visit hungryhowies.com for locations.
Street Beet adds coffee and soft serve: Vegan restaurant Street Beet in Corktown has added two concepts within its Michigan Avenue restaurant. Pour Decisions is a coffee and pastry counter, and Soft Spot is a vegan soft serve and frozen beverage walk-up window. Peach pie is back at Achatz Pies: Made with Michigan-grown peaches and a flaky crust, the peach pie is back at Achatz Pies and Pie Collective. New menu and deals at Savvy Sliders: Now through Oct. 10, Savvy Sliders is bringing back its mushroom Swiss beef slider and launching a new dessert, a chocolate caramel cookie dough shake. The local chain is also touting weekly specials like buy 10, get 10 free wings on Wednesdays, three cod sliders for $7.99 on Fridays and 10 sliders for $20 on Saturdays. French Month at Oak & Reel: For the month of August, Italian restaurant Oak & Reel is going French. Chef and owner Jared Gadbaw, who spent years cooking in French kitchens, has launched a full French menu featuring pan-roasted local trout, roast chicken, escargot, wild mushroom pastas, Champagne and more.
