Nassau County police detectives are investigating a burglary at the iconic Massapequa eatery All American Hamburger Drive-In on Monday
A 911 call reporting the burglary at the restaurant on Merrick Road was received at 4 a.m., according to police. They did not immediately provide details of the break-in and theft, citing the ongoing investigation
Photos from the scene showed the burger joint cordoned off with yellow police investigation tape, with a police Crime Scene Search Unit van and marked patrol cars in the parking lot
All American has been a South Shore staple since opening in 1963, noting on its website: “ALL of our recipes remain original in order to provide you with the very best.”
Owners of All American could not be immediately reached for comment Monday and the official All American Facebook page has no mention of the burglary or investigation
