A fast-food chain formerly based in Texas shuttered its remaining locations nationwide this week. But they won’t be vacant for long
Salad and Go, founded in Arizona and previously based in Coppell, entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Aug. 4, one day before announcing its remaining stores in Arizona and Nevada would close the following day. Now, each of those 65 locations will now be replaced by Dutch Bros Coffee, with two in Houston thanks to a pair of franchises

The incoming Houston locations of Dutch Bros, an Arizona chain that launched in 1992, will be located at 21021 Highland Knolls Drive in the Katy area and at 18830 Noble Seven Lane in Sugar Land, per KHOU 11
There are several Dutch Bros locations in the Houston area, though most are just outside the Sam Houston Tollway. Inside the 610 loop there’s a Dutch Bros location in Houston’s Rice Village, itself a former Salad and Go location. Meanwhile, a permit filed with the the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation revealed an incoming Dutch Bros location in the Galleria area. Construction is expected to start there on Dec. 30 and finish by May 19, 2027

Salad and Go closed its Texas and Oklahoma locations in January. Back then, it also moved its headquarters from Coppell to Arizona
