COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) —Students participating in Tech Corps are looking forward to showcasing their unique artificial intelligence projects during the Student Tech Corps: AI Project Showcase this Friday
The showcase plans to highlight how hands-on technology experiences can help prepare Ohio’s next generation of technology innovators
Tech Corps was one of 16 nonprofit organizations selected to receive a Battelle Central Ohio STEM Grant for 2026
The high school students participating in the Tech Corps program have been immersed in exploration of how artificial intelligence learns, predicts and influences decision-making. They will present AI-powered solutions addressing real world challenges during the showcase
Organizers said the event will demonstrate how the program has strengthened students’ technical, professional and problem-solving skills that employers increasingly demand
“Battelle’s investment reflects a shared commitment to prepare students for Ohio’s technology-driven future,” chief executive officer of Tech Corps, Lisa M. Chambers said in a release
“Student Tech Corps moves students beyond learning about artificial intelligence. They learn to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate with others, and solve community challenges. These are the same skills that will help them succeed in college, careers, and Ohio’s innovation economy,” she continued
The Student Tech Corps: AI Project Showcase is scheduled for Friday, July 31 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Horizon Science Academy located at 3592 Corporate Drive
