Infosys has been fined €175,000 by a French labour authority over shortcomings in its employee working time recording system, the company revealed in a BSE filing. According to the regulatory filing, the IT services company said it received a communication from DRIEETS Île-de-France (Direction régionale et interdépartementale de l’économie, de l’emploi, du travail et des solidarités) regarding the penalty. The communication was received on July 24, 2026, at 3:30 pm IST. In the filing, Infosys said the authority identified shortcomings in the system’s reliability, auditability and monitoring capabilities for certain categories of employees. “The authority found that Infosys’ working time recording system did not fully comply with French legal requirements, citing shortcomings in its reliability, auditability, and monitoring capabilities for certain employee categories,” the company said in its filing.Infosys added that the penalty will have no material impact on its financial position, operations or other business activities.
