Tenn. (WMC) – Scrapped The Plate Bistro hosted a Back-To-School Food Truck Festival Saturday afternoon at Shelby Farms Park
Families in attendance got a chance to grab a bite from local food trucks, shop vendors, and catch some live entertainment
Action News 5 spoke to one attendee who said this a fun way for families to spend time together and get ready for the back-to-school rush
“So we decided to throw this event because we wanted to make sure that families had an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and share love and a moment of happiness while they eat, drink, and listen to music and partake with the local vendors to support the community,” Vanessa Kim, owner of Scrapped the Plate Bistro said
Organizers said the goal is to spotlight local food trucks and vendors while helping families kick off the back-to-school season on a positive note
