Doors closing on Vernon home/garden shop

Vernon’s Nicholas Alexander Home and Garden store in the north end will close its doors permanently at the end of September, following 10 successful years of operation.

Gardens, said Vernon’s Nicholas Alexander Home and Garden shop in the north end of the city, “remind us that every season has its purpose.”
With the tune ‘Better Days Ahead’ by Lyle Workman featured in the post, the owners of the popular home and garden store announced on social media Friday, July 24, they are closing permanently
The facility, located beside Vernon Kia, will shut at the end of September after what it calls “10 meaningful years.”
“To everyone who has shopped with us, worked alongside us, and welcomed us into your homes and gardens, thank you,” wrote Nicholas Alexander Home and Garden on the store’s Facebook page. “Your support has meant more to us than words can express
“While this one may be ending, new beginnings often emerge where we least expect them.”
For the past decade, Nicholas Anderson Home and Garden said it’s been a privilege to serve the community
“What began as a dream became something far greater,” said the store’s online post. “It became a place where friendships were formed, gardens were inspired, and countless memories were made.”
The decision to close was not made lightly, with the owners stating changing market conditions, rising costs, economic uncertainty, and an evolving retail landscape all played factors in the verdict
“After carefully considering every option, we believe this is the right decision for both the business and our family,” said the store’s owners, who also gave its deepest appreciation to its loyal customers, dedicated staff, suppliers, and community supporters
“Your support allowed us to build something truly special. We are especially grateful for the relationships we formed, the families we watched grow, and the beautiful spaces we helped create throughout the North Okanagan.”
The Home and Garden store is having a minimum 30 per cent off sale storewide, and many other in-store specials, through to the closure
