On July 21, Embraer announced at the Farnborough International Airshow that the privately-owned Japanese carrier Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) had placed a firm order for two additional E175 regional jet aircraft
The new additions will join FDA’s current fleet of 15 Embraer E170/E175 regional jetsoperated from its main base at Shizuoka Airport (FSZ) to points across Japan. The order was previously undisclosed and is already reflected in Embraer’s backlog order figures
FDA orders two more Embraer E175 regional jets
According to a statement issued by Embraer,FDA’s new E175 aircraft will be configured in a single-class 84-seat layout, with deliveries of the new aircraft scheduled for between 2027 and 2028
The planemaker added that the E175’s “proven performance on high-frequency operations and shorter routes makes it a leading choice for airlines like FDA as they continue to develop their regional networks.”

He added that the E175’s ability to deliver a high standard of reliability, performance, efficiency and passenger comfort made it the ideal choice for FDA. “We are honoured to be a partner in FDA’s growth and will continue to deliver exceptional value to the airline,” Meyer concluded
Meanwhile, Shunsuke Honda, President of Fuji Dream Airlines, said, “The introduction of these new aircraft will enhance our capacity and help further strengthen our network connecting communities across Japan.”

Who is Fuji Dream Airlines?
Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) was established in 2008 as the a airline connecting communities across Japan
Today, FDA operates a network of 29 routes serving 17 airports nationwide, with major bases at Shizuoka, Nagoya (Komaki), Matsumoto, and Fukuoka airports
FDA is a full-service regional airline that has operated E-Jets since commencing operations in 2009. Since its inception, the airline has consistently been recognised for its strong operational and on-time performance across Japan
The fleet’s 12-month average schedule reliability, an indicator of aircraft quality and maintenance standards, stands at more than 99.8%.
One of FDA’s distinctive features is its “Multi-Colour Concept,” under which each of its 15 aircraft is painted in a unique livery, creating a colourful and recognisable multicoloured fleet
FDA is owned by The Suzuyo Group, founded in 1801. The group is a diversified corporate group with a logistics core having operations spanning trading, construction, real estate, information services, and other business sectors.
