These three Bruins have the potential to be moved before the start of the season
We are now officially two weeks into July. With this, <a href="https://todaytrendnews7.com/goldman-sachs-profits-soar-amid-roaring-wall-street-activity/” title=”Goldman Sachs profits soar amid roaring Wall Street activity”>activity around the NHL has slowed down significantly
While this is the case, it is still possible that the Boston Bruins could make more moves before the start of the season. Because of this, let’s take a look at three Bruins who have the potential to be traded before the start of the 2026-27 season.
Casey Mittelstadt is entering the final season of his contract in 2026-27, where he has a $5.75 million cap hit. If the Bruins do not plan to extend him, it would be understandable if they looked to moved him this off-season. He could get the Bruins a decent return in a move, and it is hard to see him being a long-term fit in Boston. In 71 games last season, he posted 15 goals and 42 points.

The Bruins are hoping to extend Pavel Zacha, and it makes sense given his importance to the club. However, if his asking price is too high and negotiations do not go well, the Bruins would be wise to sell high on him. The 2015 first-round pick had a great year in 2025-26, setting new career highs 30 goals and 65 points in 78 games. With numbers like these, Boston could get a major return for him if they moved him.
The Bruins’ blueline is very crowded right now, and Mason Lohrei could be moved this summer because of it. The 25-year-old defenseman was a popular name in the rumor mill leading up to the deadline. He could benefit from a change of scenery, and he has memorably scratched for Boston’s final three playoff games this spring. In 73 games last season with the Bruins, he recorded seven goals and 26 points.
