Nordstrom appoints new VP, fashion director

Nordstrom Inc. announced on Monday the appointment of Brooke Bobb to the role of vice president and fashion director, effective August
She succeeds Rickie De Sole, who left the U.S. luxury department store last spring.In her new role, Bobb will bring an editorial vision to the Seattle-based chain, covering all fashion categories of the retailer. Based in New York City, she will report to chief merchandising officer, Jamie Nordstrom

An accomplished fashion editor and writer, Bobb joins Nordstrom from Harper’s Bazaar, where she served as the fashion news director. Prior to Harper’s Bazaar, she held the role as senior content editor at Amazon Luxury Stores. She has also held early career stints at T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Vogue, and Du Jour, among other roles.“We’re thrilled to welcome Brooke to Nordstrom. Brooke has a strong combination of editorial credibility and commercial instinct,” said Jamie Nordstrom.”She understands how people discover and engage with style today, and how to translate that into something meaningful for our business. We believe her vision will elevate how we show up for our customers, our brand partners, and our teams.”Earlier this year, Nordstrom promoted Jason Bell to the role of executive vice president, chief supply chain officer.
