The symbol was inspired by a photograph Brooklyn had taken on the set of Nicola’s 2024 directorial debut, Lola, according to ET. The couple previously sported the phrase “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine” in Hebrew on their bodies—the fashion designer had the words run down her neck along her spine, while the soccer star added the phrase to his already impressive sleeves.As for why she removed her tattoos, the Spice Girls alum said in a 2022 appearance on Today (via People) that “they just didn’t look so nice.”

The power couple and Spider-Man: Brand New Day costars kept their wedding a secret from the world, but their love for one another is evident every time they flash their matching tattoos. Zendaya has a small “t” inked near her underarm, while Holland got the letter “z” on his ribcage—aka each other’s first initials.
Artist Lily Jarnryd, who gave them the ink, told People they came to Boston Tattoo Company on Newbury Street to get their discreet designs done prior to their engagement. “They were lovely to meet and it was a lot of fun!” she shared

They got the ink in 2021 from Dr. Woo, with Justin’s sitting on the left side of his neck and Hailey’s peach adorning her arm, per People.The “Go Baby” singer has more than 60 tattoos in total, many of which were on display during his performance in nothing but boxers at the 2026 Grammy Awards. The center of his back appeared to show a tattooed portrait of Hailey, which fans believe is inspired by one of her magazine covers.

Eagle-eyed fans first spotted A$AP Rocky and Rihanna’s cute couple ink in July 2024—but the timeline of their matching tats is more complicated than a date at the local studio. Rihanna’s ‘1988’ ankle tattoo, a nod to the birth year she happens to share with A$AP, was done in 2015, per Complex. A$AP’s ‘1988’ tattoo—in the same gothic-style font as his girlfriend’s and set along his spine—was first seen in 2024.
