This can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, kidney problems, and the worsening of existing heart and respiratory conditions.” They can also affect mental health, she adds: “Heat disrupts sleep, impairs concentration, and tends to worsen anxiety, depression, and existing mental health conditions.”
