Blue Bell is doing a free ice cream tour across Texas, and the Dallas-Fort Worth area is its next stop.
Yes, the century-old company that says it has the “best ice cream in the country” is giving out free ice cream this summer in various North Texas locations. Here’s everything you need to know to get your hands on a free scoop.
Blue Bell Lone Star Scoop Tour
A Blue Bell truck has been making its way through our state, handing out free hand-dipped ice cream, frozen snacks and fun giveaways to thank the communities that have supported the Texas-founded brand over the years.

So far, the tour has been to Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and a few other cities. It will roll into the Dallas-Fort Worth area beginning July 10, 2026, and continue through Aug. 28.
The truck will appear at several locations across the region, with stops in Fort Worth, Dallas, Arlington, McKinney, Midlothian and Wylie. A lot of the stops will be at grocery stores like Walmart, Kroger and Tom Thumb.
Participants might even be able to try the Red, White & Blue Bell ice cream, which has returned to stores in celebration of the country’s 250th birthday.
