“Transferring to Buford came down to what was best for my future,” Brewster told Wiltfong. “This move allows me to reach my goal of graduating in December while staying on track academically and athletically. I’m grateful for my time at Cedar Hill and excited for what’s ahead at Buford.”

Buford produced some notable high-profile recruits including Georgia safety KJ Bolden, Oregon quarterback transfer and former five-star Nebraska signing Dylan Raiola, plus incoming Auburn quarterback transfer Ashton Daniels. So Brewster rises as a new 2026 cornerstone for one of the top programs in the nation
But now comes this for Texas Tech: Keeping Brewster on board for the ’27 class. Wiltfong adds that LSU is surfacing as the biggest threat to flip the 6-foot-3, 300-pounder. The Tigers have heated up on the recruiting trail and own a No. 10 national ranking for the current cycle
So count on head coach Joey McGuire and the Red Raider coaches to monitor things closely at Brewster’s new high school. All to make sure TTU doesn’t lose its best recruit now that he’s deep in SEC country
