Mich. (WLUC) – August is National Wellness Month
Suunta Integrative Health Therapists Peter Copenhaver and Alexandra Ellis joined Molly Birch on Thursday’s TV6 Morning News to tell us ways you can stay both mentally and physically well
Ellis says mental and physical wellness go hand in hand
“I think mental health and physical wellness are just as important as each other,” Ellis said. “We take care of our physical health, we should also take care of our mental health
Copenhaver says a good method to stay mentally well is setting time aside to check in with yourself. For him, that’s his morning ritual
“I like to get up before the day gets busy, before the kids wake up, move my body, whatever that looks like, maybe some pilates, or a little walk, maybe a little meditation, maybe some prayer, however you want to look at that,” Copenhaver said. “Protect that morning ritual. It sets the energy for the rest of the day.”
