Bhartiya will use its expertise in master-planning large-scale, sustainable lifestyle communities to develop the properties. The Oberoi Group, which has stakes in EIH Limited, will bring its operational expertise to the new resorts. Last year, The Oberoi Group launched a five-pillar framework to integrate wellness throughout its properties to enhance the guest experience Snehdeep Aggarwal, founder and chair of Bhartiya Group, said, “More than just resorts, I dream of creating blue zones where people live, laugh and love more. In this new world, people will come to surrender, nourish, and evolve – wellness here feels joyful and abundant.” Arjun Oberoi, executive chair of The Oberoi Group, said: “We are delighted to partner with Bhartiya on this distinctive vision. Design will be at the heart of each resort, with immersive gardens and thoughtfully articulated spaces shaping the guest experience. The seamless interplay between architecture and landscape will create environments that are both restorative and inspiring, while reflecting the timeless elegance and attention to detail that define The Oberoi Group.” Three initial properties are scheduled to open by 2030 in India. They will be located in the southwestern Indian state of Kartnataka – in the regions of Coorg, Kabini and Hampi. Coorg is a rural hill district known for its mountains, waterfalls, and coffee and spice plantations. Kabini is a forest and river region that is home to the Kabini River and Nagarhole National Park, known for jungle safaris and other wildlife experiences. Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring the boulder-strewn ruins and ancient temples of the medieval Vijayanagara Empire Each property within the wider portfolio will have immersive gardens and will blend indoor and outdoor living with private and social spaces. The concept will focus on joyful wellness that feels “intuitive and uplifting, rather than prescriptive or regimental.” The programming at the resorts will be tailored to encourage guests to experience measurable wellbeing benefits through mindful reflection and by cultivating joy. This will involve dining experiences, restorative wellness rituals and shared events.
