The actress, 54, revealed on Aug. 12 that she bought additional pieces that once belonged to Keaton, who died at age 79 on Oct. 11, 2025, and shared photos of her wearing the meaningful memorabilia

On Instagram, Williams-Paisley — who starred as Keaton’s onscreen daughter in the Father of the Bride movies in 1991 and 1995 — posted new photos of her wearing black gloves, one with the word “f—” on it and the other with the word “off.” She wore them with a black suit and white top
“Diane Keaton Auction Part 2! Also just passing along this message,” Williams-Paisley wrote in her caption. “Such a thrill to wear these gloves of Diane’s and imagine her delight and satisfaction when she originally found them… 🖤🤍 #dianekeaton“
On Aug. 7, the Nashville alum revealed that she had also bought another pair of black gloves and a brown hat, adorned with the phrase “No more war” and customized by Keaton with patches of a “skull and crossbones,” at auction. She wrote on Instagram that wearing the items helped her feel the Oscar winner’s “energy.”
“While my friends and I were carefully unpacking these items and getting ready to shoot this, a gorgeous, gigantic bald eagle landed in a nearby tree, stayed for a moment and then flew off (see video),” she wrote. “THIS IS SO RARE!! It definitely felt like Diane’s energy was around us!”

Williams-Paisley continues to cherish her fondest memories with Keaton after her death. During an episode of the Call It What It Ispodcast released on Oct. 24, 2025, she said Keaton was one of her “idols” long before they ever met. “She was just so generous, and so funny, and wise. Just like wonderful,” she said

In an interview with PEOPLE, Williams-Paisley remembered “hearing Diane laugh” at the screen test from Father of the Brideand, “of course I knew who she was.” She added, “I was such a huge fan growing up. I’d seen Annie Hall, I’d seen The Godfather, I’d seen Baby Boom. And just the idea that I was going to be in her presence was — that’s what I was most nervous about, but it was just, wow, Diane Keaton.”
Beyond her iconic roles, Keaton was known for her zest for fashion, especially looks that were menswear-inspired. Often, it was clothing that married her personal flair with her professional life, particularly when she starred in Woody Allen’s Annie Hallin 1977. In 2024, Keaton chronicled decades’ worth of her looks in the book Diane Keaton: Fashion First, published with Rizzoli. Speaking with WWDthat year, Keaton summed up having good style with conviction: “Follow your heart. Express yourself. I don’t discredit anyone for showing their style.”
